Our Story
In 2018, Kevin and Teresa Miller, along with family partners, Jim and Sue Ann Krass, opened Texas Sun Winery & Bistro, the first urban winery in Midland, Texas. We are a traditional winery without the vineyard. Our business was born out of our love of wine and our desire to journey with you into the interesting and wonderful world of wine. We purchase high quality grape must (crushed grapes) from one of the largest winemaking companies in the world. We then craft each wine carefully and bottle it right at our location.
In our expansive space of more than 4,000 square feet, we look forward to serving you in our warm, friendly, relaxing and inviting atmosphere for enjoying wine while spending time with friends and family. You may delight in some wine therapy at our tasting bar, or relax at one of our tables. We offer ample seating both inside and in our indoor patio. You may also reserve our private room for your special events.
In addition, we offer you a delicious menu of bistro-style small plates and appetizers to pair with our amazing wines.
Our philosophy is focused on helping people learn about and enjoy the amazing world of wine and removing the barriers that keep people from enjoying wine on a regular basis. We proudly produce over 40 different types of wine, including traditional wines such as Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Grigio, and Sauvignon Blanc, using grapes grown in California, France, New Zealand, Australia, Italy, and Spain, as well as other regions.
We invite you into our winery to purchase bottles to take home or stay with us awhile and enjoy wine by the glass or bottle, or sample a few different wines with a wine tasting. You may also choose from a selection of labels to personalize a bottle of wine for a gift.

Our Wines
With more than 40 different kinds of wines to choose from, our winery appeals to both wine novices and experts, bringing the cultural experience of New and Old World wines to Midland, Texas. We make many of the popular varietals, including Merlots, Cabs and Chardonnays, as well as some harder-to-find wines such as Amarone, Nebbiolo, Gewurztraminers, and Viognier. We also make sangria wines (wine infused with fruit flavors) for those who prefer sweeter wines. Even though we make our wines on-site, we source grapes domestically and globally from some of the finest grape growing regions in the world, including California, Italy, France, New Zealand, Chile and Germany.
